Interactive Multimedia Performing Arts Collaborative Technology 

IMPACT
 is comprised of experienced faculty and technical assistants in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, multimedia, and arts technology. IMPACT consists of a three-week intensive multimedia creative and performance experience culminating in a staged production. This workshop provides an opportunity for students to create new interactive works, as well as to learn digital and multimedia technology. International students have the opportunity to continue to develop their spoken English skills.

Ashley Hamilton

Ashley Lauren Hamilton is a PhD Candidate in Applied/Educational Theatre at New York University. Ashley received her BFA in Acting from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Master’s Degree in Educational Theatre, Theatre for Communities from New York University. Ashley is also in the process of becoming a registered drama therapist (RDT). Ashley’s work is vast, ranging from creating theatre in New York maximum security prisons to creating and performing her own one-woman interview-based plays to working full time as an adjunct professor of speech, communication and theatre. Ashley currently lives in New York City and works as an adjunct professor in Speech and Theatre for City University of New York (CUNY) and New York University (NYU). Ashley also works as a teaching artist – creating theatre and dialogue – in the NYC public and private school systems, in a psychiatric hospital, in juvenile jails and in maximum security prison. Ashley is currently working as a teaching artist with Girls Leadership, Global Empowerment Theatre (GET), Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) and Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP). Ashley’s PhD research focuses on the complexities of teaching theatre in women's maximum security prisons and how this form of theatre can be used as a resource for authentic dialogue, affectual experience, and lasting rehabilitation. Ashley also works as the program assistant for the Educational Theatre program at NYU.
