IMPACT 2017 has ended
Interactive Multimedia Performing Arts Collaborative Technology 

IMPACT
 is comprised of experienced faculty and technical assistants in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, multimedia, and arts technology. IMPACT consists of a three-week intensive multimedia creative and performance experience culminating in a staged production. This workshop provides an opportunity for students to create new interactive works, as well as to learn digital and multimedia technology. International students have the opportunity to continue to develop their spoken English skills.

Diego Romero Mascaro

Since December 2016 he is the first elected Director of the School of Arts of the National University of Quilmes where he also works as teacher, mainly in the field of orchestration and improvisation, and as a researcher and co-director of the project "Digital Developments Applied to Arts".

 

He is a member of the curriculum development team and examiner of the International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva - Switzerland.

 

Between the years 2013 and 2016, he was the director of the 1st-May Children's and Youth Orchestra of the city of Berazategui, which belongs to the program "Orquestas y Coros Infantiles y Juveniles del Bicentenario".

 

As composer he has special interest in music for instruments and mixed media, with the symphonic orchestra being his preferred organism; seeking a sincere language and trying to erase the preset limits between different aesthetics, techniques or musical genres.

 

He has given master classes and workshops on Composition in Real Time and Collaborative Projects on Internet at institutions such as the University of Paris VIII (France), the Upper Conservatory of Music of Lyon (France), the University of Innsbruck (Austria), NYU Steinhardt (USA), Columbia University (New York - USA), among others.
