Interactive Multimedia Performing Arts Collaborative Technology 

IMPACT
 is comprised of experienced faculty and technical assistants in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, multimedia, and arts technology. IMPACT consists of a three-week intensive multimedia creative and performance experience culminating in a staged production. This workshop provides an opportunity for students to create new interactive works, as well as to learn digital and multimedia technology. International students have the opportunity to continue to develop their spoken English skills.

Matt McLean is a full time music teacher at Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School. Matt is the founding director of Young Composer & Improvisors Workshop a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing composition to the music classroom. Having over 19 years of full time teaching experience he has led jazz ensembles, marching bands and wind ensembles in public and private schools throughout New York City. His progressive philosophy towards music education was shaped at Columbia University’s Teachers College where he earned a master’s degree for Music Education in 1998. He holds a B.A. in music composition from Connecticut College where he studied with Noel Zahler and an M.M. in saxophone performance from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College. Matt actively performs with his jazz quartet in and around New York City.
